I'm not sure how I can make this blog sound a bit more interesting than just a list of what I've done in the last week! I'm hoping at Easter to do a proper walk, albeit a short one, so that will be a little more exciting!
However, for now a report of the last week! I managed to walk 1.5 miles a day for 6 of the 7 days and do some WiiFit for 6 of the 7 days as well. I lost the little bit of weight I gained the week before as well as another pound so at least the weight is going in the right direction now!
This week I'm upping my walks to 2 miles a day and I've also slightly upped what I'm doing on the WiiFit. Along with that I'm now counting calories to make sure I keep track of what I'm eating. It's just too easy to fall into the trap of thinking you are doing OK.
Tomorrow I start back at work for half a day and my son breaks up for Easter. I'm hoping these two things don't disrupt my routine!

First seven days
A week of gentle exercise can be exhausting post-chemo, I have discovered! I did the same routine every day last week. My leg muscles really ached. I am still surprised by how much this chemo malarky has taken out of me.
However, this small amount of exercise is helping me get back to normal. I really am going to have to learn to be patient though! I weighed myself this morning and I had gained 1/2 lb which is disappointing! Once I have seen my oncologist hopefully I should be able to "diet" properly.
So this week I have very slightly upped the exercise. I am going to walk 1.5 miles and I am doing 1 basic step routine on the Wii and 2 step plus routines. So we'll see how I get on with that!

First proper exercise
I dusted off the Wii balance board this morning! I weighed myself (keeping that bit of information to myself!) and then had a little go. We actually have a WiiU now so I really am starting from scratch with the WiiFit! I need to do stuff to unlock some of my favourites!
Anyway I had three goes on the basic step routine and then I did two yoga positions. I felt a little faint while doing the yoga (they were both standing positions). I need to be a little careful and maybe take a break and drink some water between the step and the yoga.
I managed to go for a walk round the block a bit later as well - it was about a mile. It feels so good just to have done that little bit of exercise to know that I'm on the path now :)

Last chemo done
I had my last chemo on schedule on the 3rd March 2015. So I will be aiming to start doing some gentle exercise in about two week's time (w/c 16th March 2015). I hope to do some short (1 mile) walks around my neighbourhood and maybe a bit of yoga as well.
But for now ... rest!
